Ever since I started wearing makeup and using skincare products in high school, I remember being frustrated at not being able to find the perfect colors and skincare products that would match my needs. Sure, there were plenty of eyeshadow and lip colors to be found, but as most of my friends were Asian and white, and therefore, a lot paler than me, I couldn't really wear what they were wearing, resulting in some truly hideous makeup moments. (Damn you, Cover Girl Tawny Beige!) As far as skincare for oily and acne prone skin, I used what most teen aged girls were using- Bonne Bell, and those horribly named StriDex pads (to this day, I think the name is horribly misleading and sounds like it should be from the feminine protection aisle. In any case, I put together a list of my old favorites to see what has become of them since...............
Cosmetics

Corn Silk- The best oil absorbing powders! I loved the loose powders...although it had a tendency to get EVERYWHERE.
Clarion- They had little 'computers' to match skin tones with their makeup shades--funny how mine always matched to their most orange shade!
Cover Girl- I can still remember that funky smell their powders and foundations used to have.
Skincare
Bonne Bell--10-0-6 was a godsend for my oily skin...now, I think it was actually a bit harsh.
Stri-Dex--see above. Luckily, I never had huge breakouts, but this was so drying!
Bathtime/Fragrances
Jean-Nate- Everyone used this bath splash. It was fairly inoffensive and came in a huge bottle.
Impluse Body Sprays by Parfumes de Coeur- Funny how even though I was wearing these body sprays, no man ever bought my flowers.
